Rekordbox relocate feature locks up anything higher than 1500 files

So after a lot of debating and testing I decided to try this again. I moved my library to an external leaving the file path structure exactly the same, When I go to relocate, If I choose any more then 1500 files, RB locks up and crashes, if I choose anything below like my last one, 1480 files, it runs smooth.

I just ran another 1480, it got to about 1142 and just sits there, Rekordbox cpu is at about 107% and not at the "not responding" part yet, Been sitting for about 5 minutes now, no change

Escalated to ticket.

(Note to self; I really need to create a macro that adds that text ^^ when I have done so.)

Interesting ... how will this ticket come back down the chain?

Engineers to Agents or Engineers to End user?

All tickets are Agents > Engineers.  Check this out...

This is a comment as seen within the ticket side, but I've ticked a box allowing it to be visible as a comment on the linked topic.

It looks just like a regular comment here but it's from the back-end.  If an engineer had posted that, I could make it public or copy/paste important info to a new comment and make that public.

ok cool, thanks pulse, Let me know if they need further info, It is easily reproducible on my end so I can screen capture it, send crash logs, etc....

at this point I just di around 1000 at a time and it wend pretty smooth, This is all in test for me preparing in a Macbook air 11". I know I will have to move my library to an external because the internal flash is not big enough at this time. I am still trying to see if the usb to ethernet adapter works though, the other user on the first forum never really reported back which stinks, may have to just pick it all up and see how it goes

The engineers have informed us that they were able to replicate this issue and it will be corrected in a future software update.

Gotta admit, this is a much faster turn-around for responses!

I keep telling you guys the back end is super cool ... and a few sacrifices have to be made on the front-end, but I think it's all well worth it.

I've got no problem with the front end layout, it's just the lack of seemingly basic features that bug me (but two steps forward one step back as they say)

Have to say used this feature the other night for 1300 tracks, very impressed, worked flawlessly and fast. far cry from last year having to manually relocate!
