Rekordbox Waveform with CDJ2000??

I just set up my Macbook Pro last night with CDJ2000's and a DJM 2000. When I link them through Rekordbox it works great. However when I play a track I don't see the waveform of the track playing within Rekordbox. Is there a setting that will allow Rekordbox to display it when the CDJ2000 is playing a track? Thanks! Mike

@Mike > Sorry but that is not a feature that is part of Rekordbox.

It is a Music Management Software and the main purpose of it is so DJ's can manage all of their music in 1 location before a gig. Such as preset Hot Cues, memory points, and analyze their tracks. Then when they load the tracks onto the CDJ's, they will be all set, ready to go, and the tracks will be Quantized.

This is to allow DJ's to have more capabilities without needing a laptop and to use DJ Software. Rekordbox analyzed tracks can be exported to an SD card or USB device and played on the CDJ's. This eliminates the laptop from the setup, and allows DJ's to focus on the equipment more than the computer screen. Even if a DJ decides to directly connect via LINK to the laptop and CDJ's, the DJ can simply turn the computer away, shut off the screen, or even close the lid but leave it running.

However, this feature has been requested to the engineers to implement the ability to show the waveform in real time within Rekordbox. Mainly because the CDJ-900 users would like the ability to see a larger waveform than provided on the unit. But remember, this feature would need to fit up to 5 waveforms on the screen, and would take up a lot of room if one preferred to search via the computer.

Overall, if you prefer to see the the waveform move in real time on your laptop screen, I would suggest looking into DJ software such as Traktor, VDJ, or Serato.

I hope this is helpful. :)
