Do you think there will ever be an update to the CDJ NEXUS to read MP4 video files? I do not necessarily want the CDJ to actually display the video but just play the audio content. The funny thing is Rekordbox will analyze the video files and play the audio content but when linked with the CDJ 2000 Nexus with a LAN connection the CDJ's cannot play the file not even the audio content.
I know on another post Pulse said no video support but what about the audio from the video file? How hard would it be for the CDJ Nexus to read/play the audio portion of the video file?
I am a video DJ sometimes but I also do a lot of gigs that don't call for video but I would still like to play some of the video mixes I have, that is one of the best features of Serato. It would be a great feature because then I could actually leave my computer at the house and just DJ with a thumb drive. I am really trying to embrace the new Nexus players and Rekordbox but without HID control with Serato and not able to play at least the audio portion of MP4 files it is hard to support it 100%.
Would it actually be a hard firmware to write for the Nexus players to play the audio from MP4 files?

@Nathan > To be honest, there are far more important priorities than implementing this so I would say the chances of it being implemented are very low. However, I will make a note of it as a suggestion that it is a feature you would find useful.
Thanks for your reply, Is there a list of priorities for Rekordbox and the CDJ Nexus? The reason I ask if we knew these priorities it would or could eliminate some of our questions and or suggestions.
I'm in the same boat as Nathan, use serato for video djing, so most of my music is mp4 format and would like rekordbox to be able to read and import mp4 files, has there been any update regarding this please?
