DDJ knobs able to be replaced with soft ones?

I have an s1, wanting to know if one day I feel like some soft knobs (that sounds bad for some reason), like the ones on the djm 800 etc, is it possible to put them on the DDJ S1? I realize I'll probably have to have an authorized center perform the surgery, but want to know if it could be done.
