DDJ-T1 Buying Question

Im really excited about finally pulling the trigger and soon purchasing a T1, but there still a couple unknowns I wanted to ask before I move forward.

The biggest one is that I currently use Traktor Pro 2.0.1 , and have alot of cues mapped out that I really dont want to lose. If I just load a T1 tsi file, would it be completely compatible? also if I wanted to utilize the free upgrade to the Pioneer Edition 2, would that erase my cues?

My second question would be if anyone had any experience plugging the T1 into either the Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6 or Audio 2, seeing as I would most likely purchase one of these to utilize in a club setting.

I appreciate any feedback about this and I ll leave my computer specs too if that would help:

  • Macbook OS X 10.5.8

2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Dou

Thank you!

If you have a licensed copy of Traktor Pro 2, yes you can import the TP2  tsi file and your DDJ-T1 will work just fine (tsi file here http://pioneer.jp/support/download/dj-e/ddj-t1/ ). Traktor Pro 2 is superior to the Pioneer Edition 2 which has some reduced functionalty when compared to the TP2 version.   You shouldn't lose your cue points, as I believe the info is written to the ID3 tags of the mp3 itself.  If you decide to upgrade your Traktor Pro 2 to the free upgrade version of Traktor 2.5 you don't need to import the tsi file, as the DDJ-T1 is supported in that version.

Thank you for that clarification I figured it would be alright and as for the sound card I see no problem why it wouldn't work so I guess now its just a matter of transferring funds on my end :)
