Right, I tried mixing with the Serato software and that works alot better. The music sounds clear and the mixes are nice and crisp. It must be something in the Virtual Dj software. I am glad it's not the Ergo device.
Hi, I have noticed with my new Dj Ergo that when I am beat mixing the audio sounds poor, it sounds like stretching or it pops and clicks. The audio files sound poor compared to listening to tracks on my windows player. When I have a mix going it just sounds false. The sounds coming from the Ergo are not like my old turntables (Pioneer CMX-3000). It's hard to describe, the mixing just sounds alien like. I am using the standard Virtual Dj software the Ergo came with. I would have thought my software should be up to date, with me only having the Ergo for less than a week. I just can't get any crisp mixes from the Ergo, it sounds digital, weird. I do know how to mix, I have been beat mixing for a good few years now. I hope it's just a software issue. Thanks

Could be your computer is struggling with the software as it doesn't meet the minimum specs.
My pc is a decent one, it's a Dell with plenty memory / space. The other software I am using is fine, it works very well. I just need to sort out the recording part as the Serato does not record audio from the Ergo. I like the Serato much better than the Virtual Dj
It isn't so much to do with the amount of hard drive space you have available as the processor used and available memory / the speed of the memory.
True :). I am loving the Setato software though. It's because I am getting clearer music, original sounds.
