Nope. The controller only works as a stand-alone controller. Using timecode will not work.

[CLOSED] Ddj-sx with time code
I'm not a big fan of the jog wheels on the ddj-sx, but I love the controller. I would like to know if I can use my 1200's turntables with time code, or cdj's with time code to control the plater on serato dj I'm aware that the ddj-sx has phono/line inputs.

I thought the ddj-sx was a 4 Channel mixer also with phono/line inputs?
I have the traktor s4 with 2 f1 and and 2 1200's turntable, it's a Pain to transport,
I thought I could replace my s4 and f1 for the ddj-sx and still use me turntables.
You are right, however the timecode will not "activate" the functions of the controller. While you can certainly use CDJ's and turntables in a stand alone mode, you cannot use them with Serato DJ.
Got it, Thanx

Although you have 4 channels, each having 3 possible sources
Channel 1 - PC, Phono, Line
Channel 2 - PC, Phono, Line
Channel 3 PC, Mic 1, CD
Channel 4 PC, Mic 2, CD
I would depend if when the unit is switched to use the PHONO or LINE inputs if the audio is routed through a channel pre amp and mixer (as the same as using a standard mixer) or if the audio is being processed through software the entire time. If so we are extremely fortunate and can take advantage of this feature and use time coded CDs or DVDs and use with CDJs or use Time coded vinyls on Turntables. AFAIK the ability to use this feature has not been implemented by Serato.
However,
VDJ and Traktor have the ability to do so provided the controller is processing sound as described above. I will try to see what I can find out later this evening. or Perhaps a Pioneer rep can chime in before then.

Assuming when you switch from PC mode to
The thing is, I would like to have time code ability with this unit, but we need to go to the Serato DJ forum and make a request there. Time code is a software function so Serato has to allow this implementation. With enough demand you never know what they are willing to do.
@DJMe > Correct, this is up to Serato - unfortunately, Pioneer cannot help you in this instance.
Just as an update to this thread, Serato DJ is now supporting DVS since version 1.5 in October 2013.
The DDJ-SX can not support this feature, however, the new DDJ-SZ does.
