I have bought the pionner ddj sx controller and it seems to be fine except for one very important issue.
When I try to scratch the i am able to scratch but when I leave the platter the track takes a second or 2 before the track plays again.. is this a firmware issue?
I am based in south africa but I have bought the unit in Dubai when I was there 2 weeks ago as the unit has not arrived at the South african distributors as yet.
PLease can you urgently advise if my unit is faulty and needs to be returned or if its a simple firmware update? if I have to return it can I return it to a south african distributor?

try adjusting the jogs on the front panel.
and if you are scratching try to release it with a little spin forward just like a record that does it for me if you spin back and release it takes a time to start again i noticed that too.
I have a similar issue. When I release the platter it takes about half a beat to start the track. The renders the platter unusable for me because starting the track at a specific point require using the cue now.
