Sampler Volume not responding DDJ-SX

I have the ddj-sx.  When I load a track into the sp-6 sampler deck the sampler volume fader in the middle of the unit does not adjust the volume up or down.  Also, when I attempt to use my mouse to adjust the volume on the software it will not move.  Is there some fix for this or do I have a faulty unit?
