ddj wego cue problems

just bought the wego and have set it up all cool, although when i go to use the headphones to cue a song i can't hear anything through the headphones whilst the sound is coming from my mac. I've got the headphones set to cue when i do it and the headphone button on but still no sound. would really appreciate help!!
