[CLOSED] DDJ WeGO line noise problem - Mac OSX

Is there a solution provided by Pioneer for the line noise issue from the rca out puts to powered speakers?

Macbook Pro running VDJ.

RCA Out cable to XLR input on a set of Mackie Thumps.

There is a consistent hissing noise no matter the volume out put levels on main or channel.

--

I have 3 controllers, Denon MC6000, VMS4.1 and the WeGO.

The hissing only occurs while the WeGO is connected.  I'm using the same cables for all three.  USB, RCA.  The only difference is the AC adapter on the vms4.1 and the mc6000.

I am running the latest 1.07 firmware.

If this is indeed a Pioneer issue and a line filter is required Pioneer will provide this correct?

I give up, no more Pioneer products for me.  Can't get help from techs in forums and 40+ minute wait times on the Pro DJ support line.

Maybe this is not a good product match for me, i'd be concerned going with a higher end product here and having no support.

Shame to as I really like the WeGO from the portability and fun factor stand point as well as the Serato support now.

@Dennis > Sorry to hear about the frustrations you're having with your WeGO.  Please understand that we have over 180,000 hits per month and we do try and address every topic posted here in the forums but sometimes we inadvertently miss one or two.

The engineers have suggested that you send the WeGO for servicing, but before you consider that option - please try running the WeGO without your computer's power supply connected.  If you have no gear other than the WeGO, laptop and speakers connected, does it hiss?

Thank you for the reply and understand.

I'll try the suggestion posted this evening regarding power supply.  I do have the following as well which is why i find it strange i'm getting a hissing noise:

-Ebtech Hum X Voltage Hum Filter

-Furman M-8Dx Standard Level Power Conditioning, 15 Amp, 9 Outlets

After hooking up multiple controllers and further testing i did find what i think is the problem.  The Denon MC6000 and the VMS4.1 do not display the same symptom but the physical shells are very different.  The hiss was only heard when the  WeGO was plugged in.. Same cables...

After inspecting the RCA Cables closely one of them had a loose casing.  note: very slight by a half turn.  There cables i have are fitted at the plug by a screw together sleeve.

Once I tightened it completely the hiss was very minimal and acceptable.  Again not sure why the WeGO responded harshly to that when the other controllers did not.

I was able to reproduce the loud hiss by undoing the sleeve a bit, so maybe the plastic casing? Who knows.

Hi Dennis,

I have the same issue and was curious what kind of cable you ended up going with to remedy your problem?

Thanks!

Also... did you ever notice that the noise subdued when you dialed the LED color lights off?
