[CLOSED] DDJ-SB Right Jog-Wheel completely stuck.

Hello Pioneer,

I have had my DDJ-SB for a little over a month now. Up until this point I have had nothing but good comments, and recommendations of this product. But recently, my right jog-wheel has become completely stuck. I have read previous articles and noticed that my problem was similar but not the same. My jog-wheel seems to be a hardware problem. To the naked eye its just a brake or sensor grabbing it. But as I can no longer spin my jog-wheel AT ALL, This is a problem that must be fixed immediately. I am also a proud owner of a DDJ-WEGO, which has never missed a beat. I felt only good could come from my new product, but I am currently being sadly disappointed. I already have my money lined up for a DDJ-SZ, but I feel I cant purchase a further product, until my current is working properly.

I would thoroughly appreciate any support given to me by ANYONE, as I am gearing up to enter a contest within the next day or two.

Please Respond quickly with answers, or I can no longer support or purchase your products.

@Monotex > Sorry to hear about it - honestly, it's the first time I've seen that issue. Has any weight or excessive force been applied to the jog? Have you tried pulling the jog upward? The CDJ-200 had a similar issue where if it was pressed down, the jog would rub against the body of the housing and thus seize, but it could be resolved by either pulling it up or getting beneath it with a tool and gently prying it up.

This has been a recurring problem for a couple days now. I have already been through this procedure and thought process. No force or excessive weigh has been placed on the jog.  Being an experienced DJ, that was my first instinct. To pry it up, yet I had no luck.

I thank you for a quick response. I will continue to buy pioneer products for this reason. Yet I still have a stuck jogwheel.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3lxeBFRxw0 - This is a video of an owner who had the same problem.

I bought my DDJ-SB from JB-HI-FI in Merrylands Stockland, NSW. No longer have the receipt (stupid me) just hoping if there's a solution, other than going to a service center? If not, thats fine, will just have to go to one.

Again, thanks for the speedy response.

@Monotex > The engineers have contacted us regarding this thread urging to return the unit to your retailer or to contact an authorised service centre. Assuming you bought the item with a credit card, that should count as proof of purchase and the stockist should be able to access those records. The next step after that would be a service centre. Hope this helps.
