[CLOSED] DDJ-SZ not quite there.

I don't think Pioneer will ever release a fully standalone controller with a full feature set including full size jog wheels, USB, and waveform screens because it will mean reduced sales in the CDJ's. The XDJ is the closest they've come to this but obviously lacking the waveform screen and full size jog wheels.

but the sales on CDJ's are already reduced being most people don't want to spend $6000 in gear when they can get a controller for near $1500. I think they would sell more then enough $1500 controllers to make up for the fact that people won't buy CDJ's anymore. 

Plus the people that really want cdj's for ease of swapping in and out are still going to buy them (or get them for free from pioneer) like clubs, 

[Someone else] is coming out with one and it has waveform. Don't understand why pioneer can't do that.

I would get one in a heartbeat if they come out with one that has rekordbox one with waveform display!

A $2000 piece of hardware currently does what you want, but it's just one unit, no mixer.

A $2000 piece of hardware does everything you want EXCEPT there is no display or processor or USB ports. Wait, that's the computer you add to make it do all those things.

I think the SZ is a pretty good solution for A CONTROLLER. The computer does all the grunt-work. If you want an SZ that has screens and the ability to process the audio and read from a USB device, it's not going to cost only $2000.
