DDJ-SZ platters not fully functional

I'm running Traktor pro 2 with my DDJ-SZ which was working perfectly until today when for some reason the platters have stopped working properly. They respond to touch and will stop and start the playing track but i cannot scratch or scroll back and forth through the track. The jog dial is working as normal as are all the other functions and all software is up to date. Any ideas, i have tried everything on Traktor's settings but seeing as i haven't changed anything in the first place i'm concerned it may be a fault on the controller. Thanks for any help!

@Tobie > Sorry to hear about the trouble. Do you perhaps have the jog in CDJ mode? It could also be that the Traktor mapping somehow changed?

One way to test and verify if it's a hardware problem or software issue would be to try and load up Serato DJ and test it there. If it works properly, you know the problem is within Traktor.

@Pulse > Thanks for the response. Yes it was in vinyl mode and the display within the platter responded back and forth when i scratched, it just didn't do it with the track playing. It just stopped play and started again when i took my hand away. Anyway i seem to have sorted the problem. For some reason i can't fathom, the device settings in the controller manager must have changed itself. I have changed it to 'platters - generic midi' and changed the in-port and out port to ddj-sz and its working fine again. Don't understand why it would change itself though! Thanks once again for your swift response....

No worries -- not sure why either, but one thing I might suggest is if you get things working the right way, export your settings to a custom TSI file that way if things go awry again, you can always re-load your preferences!
