@Gavin, the link you are referring me to, is for a USB not a SD Card, I downloaded it just the same in case there was an option to select SD Card. Did not work. Can you please see if that's the ling you meant to send me ?

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

I just got a Patriot LX Series 32 GB Class 10 SDHC Card, and it came pre-formatted in FAT32. I did not reformat when I got it, but put some music on it with RekordBox.

I currently don't own a pair of CDJ 2000's (getting some shortly) and went to the local music shop to give it a try, and it didn't read the card.

Is it likely that reformatting it will fix the issue? (I want to make sure because I have to go all the way out to the music shop, get the guy to pull one of the shelf, open the box and set it up, etc. ) - Also, did any firmware updates ever effect anything with SD Cards that maybe this player might be missing? (I did not catch the version it was set to, but it did have the quantise feature which I believe came in a later update)

I  saw that others in this thread said that that particular card worked right away - and also I take it there's nothing special I have to do to plug in the SD card right? Just pop it in and press the SD button on the CDJ?

I'd say re-format the card using a non-Windows utility (you can use a program that runs ON Windows, just not the built-in thing).

I just tried the HP Disk Utility with a full (slow) format, I'll give that a try, thanks

Haha yea I actually read that and that's how I knew to do it. The guy working at the DJ department didn't even know -_-
If anyone else is having problems this should be recommended to them first it's super easy to miss

I'm using Extreme Pro 64GB SD card and after I put them in the CDJ2000s then put back in laptop to add more playlists from Recordbox it says my device library is corrupt. then nothing works. Tried reformatting to MOS-FAT and all works well until after they are used.

AS far as I know the CDJ-2000 can support up to 32GB SD-Cards (under SDHC protocol).

The 64GB is an SDXC card and according to the above statement is not supported.

So I guess it is normal that you experience such issues as it is not properly read/written byt the CDJ due to this.

@Lenny > As panoulix notes, SDXC cards are not supported.

@DJccccc > Up to 32GB SDHC cards are supported by the players - anything over that is unsupported, that is to say, it may or may not work but you'll have to check it out for yourself.

Ensure you have closed the lid of the SD card slot. I had a similar problem with another brand of card, formatted the cards, sought help on this and other forums, and it turns out that the SD card reader does not work if the lid to the SD card slot is open. You will notice the light illuminating as soon as you close the lid, which indicates it is being read.

I have the same problem with one of my players.  Both SHDC cards can be read by the other player without any problems.  ???  Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Correction:  they are 32gb SDHCs cards and both CDJ2000NXSs are less than 30 days old.

It also keeps going into emergency loop which makes me believe it may be faulty as this could be some internal problem with this particular multiplayer. I have contacted the reseller and need to know if you would recommend replacing this player as it is under 30 days since arrival.  again...FYI, the other player can read all cards without any issue but this player seems to have an internal fault or bug on the latest firmware.

UPDATE:  I reformatted both SD cards in Fat32 and then re-opened them in Rekordbox.  On one I loaded a 24-track playlist of RB analyzed AIFFs and on the other I simply loaded the card with another 24-track playlist of RB analyzed AIFFs.  I tried the cards in both decks and the good deck read both cards without any issues.  However, the problematic deck consistently claims "No File"  and displays "FORMAT SD".

The problematic deck can still read USB sticks, Optical Discs and linked media in the good deck.

The good deck can still read USB sticks, SDHC cards, Optical Discs and linked media in the problematic deck.

So, is it busted SD card reader or a bug?
