Help Calling Up Hot Cue Points From a Memory Card

Ok so I need some help.  I am playing in a competition here in a few weeks.  I currently own 2 cdj 2000s.  I have to use CD's.  I know how to save the hot  cue point to the memory card but I don't know how to call it back up if I  accidently hit the (rec/cue) button. When you hit it after loading the track all the hot cues go away.  I read the manual and it says to hold it back down for more then one second.  I do that but the hot cues do not come back up.    What am I doing wrong?
