Help!...E-8709 communication error

when i straight power up,the error display imediatly...then i must several  times fast very fast turn of and on, then everything is fine. and i can play for one hour normally,then error shows again. then again i turn off and turn on again, error shows up.

And when you start up the players do you have a CD or USB already inserted or do you have the players connected via an ethernet cable at the back?

there is no cd or usb and it's not connected to computer via any cable

And you don't have the players connected to each other? Does the error occur on one player or both players?

No, its not a big problem. When did you purchase the units? Are they still within warranty?

there is no warranty, i purchased 20.10.2009. i was first who purchased players in croatia.

It shouldn't be all that expensive and they're probably due a service at this stage anyway.

Well, i don't have luck...today called me from pioneer service in Zagreb (Croatia) and they said that main board mus be replaced. and they said that will cost 650 euro... that is too much expensive. i must work almost 2 months for that kind of money... why is that part of cdj 2000 is so expensive?

wow thats ridiculous, the most expensive board on their parts list on the site is only $265 (US) which is 214 euro (if the conversion is right).  they are charging over 400 just for labor... try a different place maybe?

hey Brichi..there is no differnet place because that is only pioneer service in Croatia.

Wow man that is expensive.  I've just returned my unit to Pioneer with this fault but thankfully still under warranty.  Hope you get it sorted.

@Gavin  I gave up at the moment of repair, because 600 euros is too expensive to repair. I have to work 2 months to raise money for repairs. When I asked them why it costs so much they told me, that part must be replaced . I asked which part, they told me that it has something to do with the processor. Unfortunately at the moment can not fix the CDJ 2000 because it was too expensive. Im so sad, i was so happy 3 years ago when i was buying this players,when they arrived in Croatia, immediatly i was going to the bank a take credit for 5 years, i still didnt pay them all if you know what i'm mean. my mistake i didn't buy 5 year warranty, but i didnt expect that this will happen, hey this is pioneer not some kind shit like american dj or omnitronic.
