Not starting at beginning of track when using audio cds

Strange situation which hopefully someone here can shed some light on.

I've only ever encountered this with cdj2000s and have been unable to replicate the error with other cdjs or with conventional cds players so...

The past couple times i've burned audio cds, the cdj2000 will begin playback a fraction of a second into each track, rather than the actual beginning of the song. When i say 'into the track' i mean the song has already begun and you kinda have to figure out really how to mix from a diff point altogether as the track has well and truly begun.

Don't know what to make of it, but it makes djing with audio cds almost impossible, esp when using acapellas.

Thoughts?

You may find that the CDJ is auto-cueing the track to the first portion of audio which surpasses the predefined trigger level, but that point is past where you'd like it to cue because audio prior to that point is quieter than the threshold.  You can adjust it by going to the UTILITY menu and changing the AUTO-CUE level setting.  Try a lower number (like -96dB).

hmm, ok i'll look into that, although, it happens with every track, even those that begin with an extreme level of attack and gain(kick drum or the like)
