Eurpoean DJM850-K & UK Plug

I have just bought a DJM 850-k and live in the UK. I bought it from a UK store but they sent me a European model with a European plug. The units output has a 2pin kettle lead port so missing the ground pin. I have a converter to a so I can plug it into a UK plug socket.  My question is this.  Is it safe to do this as its missing the ground. The UK plug converter has a fuse in it but as there is no ground pin from the unit I assume the fuse would do nothing?

I have been told that this is safe as the UK and European voltage both use 220–240 V/50 Hz.

Please could someone confirm this is correct and that this will be safe to use as I really don't want the hassle of sending it back if I have a converter that will be okay to use but at the same time I don't want to damage the unit.

Thanks in advance.

@Sam > Yes, this is perfectly fine. If you wish, you could just buy an UK 3-pin IEC cable and then you wouldn't need the adaptor. (Click the image!)
