2000 Nexus -> 2000 Part Question

Ok, so instead of just whining about firmware or features or sync or whatever, I have a slightly more interesting question. The 2000 Nexus (from the demos Ive watched) seem to have something I really want on my 2000s: brushed aluminum Cue/Play switches! Since the design seems to be the same, and replacement parts for the Nexus should be trickling out soon, can someone at Pioneer do a tiny bit of digging and find out if the Nexus' awesome metal switches are drop in replaceable in the 2000? It's all I really want from the update, I promise I won't complain about firmware!
