Key of song not displaying when using USB flash drive

I recently analyzed all of my tracks' keys in Rekordbox.  When I link my CDJs to my computer/Rekordbox, the key for the track playing displays on MY CDJs.  When I use a USB flash drive in any of the three  CDJs (and hit the link button on the other two, the key does not display on any of my three CDJs.

All of my firmware is up to date.

Is it possible to get the key to display while using the USB flash drive?  The information does appear to be on the flash drive when I view it in Rekordbox.

Additional information:

I just went down to [RETAILER] where I tried this on a setup with one regular CDJ-2000 and one nexus.  When I plugged into the regular 2000, no key on the 2000.  When I plugged into the Nexus and used the link button on the 2000, the key did appear.
