Have you analysed your music files in rekordbox first ?

FolgenCDJ 2000 NEXUS QUESTION
Just got them, plugged everything in. Why can't I see the wave form. Obviously I see it at the bottom, just like the regular 2000, but not the big wave form that you can zoom in to and adjust on the fly. Anyone have any idea? Thanks gang

keep in mind, like Paul says, you have to re-analyze missing date, right click on all the files and choose that option
Created a new playlist, analyzed all the files and set cue points..., still the CDJ NEXUS shows no waveform? Any ideas on what I am missing. Thanks in advance
Is your BPM steady... in other words if you have it on 128.0 it stays like that or jumps up and down (example) 128.1, 128.2, 127.9?
These NEXUS are giving me a too much stress
Holy s#*t Juan, you've posted the same thing in three f$&@ing threads. Just make your own and wait for a response. To answer your question, yes the Nexus has pitch drift. It's your job as a DJ to make sure it doesn't affect your mix. Deal with it.
( Juan) My bpm are not steady too and I have the xdj aero, and its analyze threw rekordbox.Even when I use loops they drift away at times, don't look at the bpm and just use your ears to mix. Works for me :) .its not a big deal. And like DJNR said don't go and write the same thing on other threads. Not kool other member get upset about that.
hey is the drifting part a bug? do they actual drift or is it just the bpm indication? i am thinking of updating from my 1000mk3 to the nexus. My 1000mk3 never actual drift
Not sure if the xdj aero or cdj 2000 nexus are in the same boat when it comes to that. When mines drift it's not that bad,it's has to be monitor and nudge at times its not a big deal. Maybe it could be a bug who knows. But I would upgrade and get the nexus. Don't let minor thing stop you from getting that. The good thing about the nexus is that you can edit the grid right there on the unit and maybe fix it from drifting. Buy the nexus! :)
if it's just an display thing it's a minor thing indeed it couldn't care less
but if they actually drift (provided that the tunes don't) then this is a major bug. It's the most basic function that one would expect from a player.
Or maybe the unit is just dancing, that's why it jumps around making the bpm not steady and gets drift away cuz the music is off the hook. Got to start a corny joke on Friday. :)
Steven it's unclear to me if this just a display or actual drifting can you try (if you want) to play the same tune on both players with the same pitch adjustment at the same time and check if it actually drifts? (let them play for more than 1m)
no, they don't drift.
Thano when I get home ill try it. Am sure it will stay for a min using the same track. Since I use the xdj aero I can't see it cuz u can't really see no display only when u hear it. When I mix two different tracks I like to use a 16 loop for at least 4 mins that's when I get a slight drift. But is not a big deal to me I learn to master it so am good
perfect thanks a lot guys :)
You got it thano :)
Thano vessi don't let minor things get in the way of you upgrading, cdj nexus look great and pioneer team did a wonderful job making it. Go for it and get them
(EC) In rekordbox do any of your files have a blue triangle icon beside them? When you have all you files selected right click and look for an option about waveform and select that. I cant exactly remember but when i upgraded to rekordbox 2.0 there was an option to get a waveform but i dont have it anymore as all my flies are analysed.
