maybe the tablet pulls more then the provided 5V/2.5A the decks supply. Check the power supple from the droid tablet and see what the output is. Does you r laptop or computer charge it via usb when plugged in?

FolgenANDROID ... The Question is why not the same level as support as an IPAD or Iphone
OK, after testing my new ANDROID tablet today, I was quite surprised to plug it in to find NOTHING HAPPENED. No charge, no power, NOTHING, and it certainly didnt hook up when I went to search in RB ANDROID.
Have to say the RB ANDROID, app is better than the Ipad, the resolution is better on a 9.7 inch tablet but WHY is there no support for plugging the ANDROID into the USB directly, you can on both my Ipad and Iphone ...
The thing is I DONT want to use an Ipad 3, as I dont have £700 to blow of a 64 Gb unit, so a ANDROID is my most cost effective solution.
WHY does it not just plug in and work like the Ipad, should it not just plug and play... when you search the item.
I dont have a switch or hub and NOT want to wirelessly connect as I want to use the USB ports
Again, if you could use the SD and control via USb Ipad, like the AERO - I would not have to face this MESS!!

From what I was sent from Pio UK the other day, I dont think its poss to plug the Android into the CDJ ... only a Ipad or Iphone - im waiting on Pioneer to confirm this ............................................
The plug says 5v // 2a as well
Android devices are not Apple devices, they're not built the same way, why do you expect them to operate the same way?
I expect the App to perform Pulse ...
IE to turn on ... to work ... in the same way the IOS software does.
The Android support is no wear near as good.
The App is meant to be the same on both devises ....... the difference is the Ipad/Iphone works ok . Ive tested that ...
The Android is majority buggy and some helpful troubleshooting ... or successions would be useful ...
@DJccccc > You can't expect everything to perform exactly the same. iOS is iOS - the platform is consistent across all iPhone / iPad models. Android is open source and for that reason, fragmented. It becomes impossible to support every iteration of Android available - so its much easier to incorporate features into iOS than into Android. Thats not to say certain features won't come to the Android platform - its just more complicated.
I remember reading an interview with Rovio (the creators of Angry Birds) and then spoke about the huge number of complications they ran into in creating Angry Birds for Android whereas it was much easier to develop for iOS due to lack of fragmentation.
I have no problem playing on my android but I may move to Apple later this week with iPad mini.
Wolf are you on a Tablet or Smart phone?
The issue seems to be tablets, and the power supply.
And Gavin ..
Is it possible that you could specify exactly what the differences in features, performance and operation there is between the apps.
The fact is, the older Anderioid software seems to work better than 4.0 or 4.1.
Could you say what features are missing from Anderoid version
There is also a major issue with Anderoid version not accepting SD cards, with RB data that has been exported from a Mac or PC ... You should just be able to plug it in and the APP should reconise the RB anylised files, not what to REANAYLISE THEM ... and copy them onto the tablet's inturnal memory.
The IOS seems to work, fully, Im let down by the Anderoid verion in its current release
Could you also clarify why the CDJ can power an Ipad (2.1 v) but doesnt a Anderiod tablet. Its very odd
