New MASTER TEMPO (CDJ-2000NXS) on CDJ-2000MK1

To Gavin & Pulse,

Hi guys, first of all I would like to salute you for all the great support that you are doing in this
Forum.

Okey, I have two lovely CDJ-2000MK1, i don't use Rekordbox neither MP3's, no PC, i only use straight uncompressed audio-CD.

So far so good, the MASTER TEMPO on my 2000MK1's are fine for me, maybe some artifacts from time to time, but i think I can deal with it.

QUESTION:
I would like to know if there is any chance to have the NEW MASTER TEMPO (CDJ-2000NXS) (through a Firmware update)
on the CDJ-2000MK1's.

Thank you very much in advance.

Excellent Forum!

@Tsuyoshi > There is different hardware within the CDJ2000nexus in order to give it the newer features, therefore the MT algorithm, I'm sure, would have had to change. Therefore, I cannot just say that we can transfer from the newer deck to the old.

Where do you start noticing the artefacts?

Gavin,
Thank you very much for the quick answer, all clear now.
It's Ok with me, the MASTER TEMPO on the CDJ-2000MK1 works just fine, I can say almost perfect, some artifacts sometimes as i said in my last post, but is still way better than older generations (i've been DJing with Pioneer gear for more than ten years, i started back in 1998 with a set of CDJ-100S!)

I was happy then..., and now with the CDJ-2000MK1's the feeling is even better. I only use Uncompressed Audio-CD, and the 2000MK1's never let me down.

The ARTEFACTS:

Gavin, thanks for asking, i start noticing them for example at +4.80%, i don't really used to exceed +/-3.0%, but sometimes is audible even at +/- 3.20%, (only for trained ears),

More data:
- CDJ-2000MK1 firmware version Ver.4.11
- Tempo selected at +/-6%
- MASTER TEMPO: On
- Audio format: Uncompressed Audio-CD (commercially available CD and recordings from analog vinyl audio)

Thank You very much in advance.

Sorry, I forgot that detail,

Uplifting Trance / Progressive Trance / Upper House / Club Funky House

Artefacts occurs on all this genres, always near/past +/-3.0% speed.

For the MK1s, I'd say this is expected behaviour, especially for these tempo ranges and genres (I play trance and prog etc. myself too).  Before v4.10, it was awful.  It is much much better now.  I can't see any further changes being made, unless the engineers can learn a trick or two from the Nexus.

@Tsuyoshi > I do think this is probably within the limits of what is reasonably acceptable considering the pitched up speed and the genre of music you play. I will report this so the engineers can continue to work to improve performance.
