@ Gavin. Since you closed the first article, i have been forced to open a new "part 2":-
Your comments may have MEANT to be lighthearted - either way they were not particularly helpful.
To Quote Yourself " Clearly you've discovered analysing in dynamic mode doesn't work well when syncing for you - that's not going to be explicitly in the manual"
Why should it not be mentioned in the manual? One sentence would do?
