once you export tracks from RB to a usb drive, it creates a database which the cdj's look for and now read from, so you cannot do both, either use rb on a usb drive, or format the drive and copy the tracks onto the usb drive without using rb

Folgen[SOLVED] Problem playing from USB that hasn't been analyzed through rekordbox
I've played plenty of tracks from my usb's before i processed everything through rekordbox for an upcoming comp (I only played 6 tracks in the comp) now when i put tracks onto my usb straight from a regular folder without selecting them in rekordbox, the only tracks that come up are the ones i have added through rekordbox (those same six tracks from the comp) even though those tracks are no longer on the usb at all. I tried 4 different usb's and they all only come up with the same tracks but i can't even play any of them.
Does this mean i can only use usb's when i have selected the tracks through rekordbox or is something wrong here?
Thanks.
Tom.

yeah i ended up reformatting and it worked. Just wanted to see if there was something wrong or not. Sucks that it's that way but whatever, not that much of a biggie :P Thanks for replying so soon.
@Thomas > The players will the USB disk contents based on the category preferences you have set in rekordbox e.g. key / track / album etc. If you scroll down to the bottom of those categories you should see one that says 'FOLDER'. You will find the unanalyzed rekordbox tracks here provided you placed them on the root of the drive with the rekordbox folders.
So yes, you can play from rekordbox prepared files and unprepared files from the one USB source.
