Two Questions - CDJ2000Nexus - New ipod cable & USB 3.0???

Picked up two CDJ-2000Nexus (nice upgrade from my older 1000 Mk3's).. Anyway, I believe the players came with the 30pin (old) cables to connect to my ipad/iphone/i-device.  Since the new iphone 5 and ipad4 are out, they have a new adapter (forget how many pins)...  Does pioneer plan on selling or releasing new adapters or do I need to shell out $30 and buy one from Apple?

Secondly, does the CDJ-2000Nexus USB port support USB 3.0 or is it USB 2.0 and slower?  The reason I ask is, there would be no point in me buying a USB 3.0 thumb drive if the unit only supports 2.0 and their is a BIG difference in price.  Would love to know.

Thank you in advance.  P.S.  Just bought the DJM2000 Mixer as well... Sad to hear that two weeks after my purchase it's being replaced with the DJM-2000Nexus.. Oh well, can't keep up with technology forever :(

You can just use the usb cable that came with the iPhone 5, If you want an extra, grab one on like amazon or something, I just got one pretty cheap off ebay

I am pretty sure they are usb 2 (not 100% though), You can use usb 3 drives though, at least you will the rb transfer speed if your computer is usb 3

Thanks for the quick reply - Can you send me a link to the ebay auction for the cable you bought?  Amazon doesn't have any cables in stock yet, or atleast, according to the reviews they are cheap chinese knock-offs.

I know we cant post direct links here, but go to ebay and search "8 Pin Lightning to USB Charger Cable for iPhone 5"  you will see a bunch for $8-$10, I bought one and it works fine

Thanks BriChi...  If anyone else can chime in and let me know whether the CDJ-2000Nexus uses USB 3.0 or 2.0, I'd appreciate it.  My computers don't support 3.0 so the only reason I'd be using it would be to prevent latency issues with the players.

well if thats the only reason, then i would go usb2, usb 2 is plenty fast to transfer the data it needs to players and is already overkill in needed speed to simply play a 3-4mb mp3 or 70mb aiff file, usb2 transfers 480Mbps

They are USB 2. There is no reason for them to use a USB3 bus, it would merely add even more expense to the player.

I am not sure about the nexus, cdj2000mk1 is definately USB 2.0 and I think nexus player is the same.

@Justin > the only difference is the connection on the iPhone side - the CDJs use USB2.0. There's no reason to go to the cost of adding USB3.0 when it is not necessary. I'd still recommend a USB3.0 drive for preparing tracks in Rekordbox and exporting them to the drive.

Thank you everyone who responded and saved me some headaches!

@Gavin thank you for taking the time to respond and for giving an "official" response to the question.

Guess it's time to go show shopping now :)  Cheers!

Agree with Gavin- use a USB 3.0 drive for faster exporting from Rekordbox but for gigs/playing live you'd never need more than USB 2.0 even if using 3 .wav files and needle searching on 3 drives at the same time (I tried it!) :D

Connecting my backup iPod to the cdj2000nxs for the first time.
Does not work: E-8307: usb access error

Never had this on my own Cdj2000. What has happened?
