Folgen[CLOSED] No Control Signal in Traktor with CD 350 through USB
Hello Pioneer,
Much like some other people on here, im having some problems getting my CD 350 to control as a MIDI in traktor 2.6..
I currently have 2 x CDJ 2000's + KP3 all mapped to traktor ok running through a DJM900 using external mixing mode in traktor.
I want to use one CDJ 350 to control Deck C. I have read forums, updated firmware's and followed documentation to the letter (changing midi channel to 3 etc). BUT for the life of me, I can't get anything out of the CDJ 350... Not even a signal light in traktor when hitting buttons etc (Little blue light at top on interface) All my other devices give signal's even when not deck assigned etc. I have tried different cables. still no luck. The CDJ 350 shows up fine in apple MIDI Setup app. So it does see it. But traktor gives me no joy.. :o(
Using IOS 10.8.2 on a new MAC mini (USB 3.0 all round + USB 3.0 Hub) Read about the usb 3.0 issue, but thought this might be something else?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, have deleted and reimported TSI restarting apps + hardware for too long!
Thanking you in advance
Marty

I will chime in to say that this is not working for me either. Absolutely no MIDI signal being received in Traktor. Using MIDI Monitor it is possible to see that in fact, no MIDI at all is being sent from the CDJ-350. If you go into Audio/MIDI Setup there is no MIDI driver either.
Documentation has been followed to a T.
Is this potentially a USB 3.0 compatibility issue? I am using a Retina Macbook.
Feeling your pain Matt... Thank god someone wrote something on this post! Fingers crossed we might get some help.
Going through the forum looks like there are a lot of threads on this! And not a lot of support coming from Pioneer. I tried calling their "tech support" line and the guy I had on the phone sounded like had never even seen one of these things! Claimed it was a "software issue". Last time I checked, MIDI functionality is a hardware issue. This is Pioneer's problem, not Traktors.
You would think this would be addressed, as this is essentially a failure in functionality that was advertised. If its a USB issue I would understand, as that affected a lot of manufacturers... but one would expect Pioneer to say something! A Sticky thread or something... What's the story gents?
More than a week and still no reply.
True dat. I just read up about Cross by Mixvibes (same mob that create RekordBox) They offer full HID support across the range. Think im going to do a bit of RND and see if it ticks all my boxes.
Guys, if you have a USB hub can your try placing it between the USB port on your laptop and your CDJ?
