Hey, hopefully I can describe this well enough for you to understand what I'm talking about. My request would be that on the cdj you can rewind a track further than what is contained in the file. So for instance the first beat of the file I'm using comes in at .25 seconds or so usually. I want to scratch on that first beat. But if I pull the platter back .5 seconds, the "needle" on the platter goes back .5 seconds visually, but in actuality it only went back .25 seconds because the file stops moving once you get to the start of the file. So the "needle" placement and where you actually are in the loaded track are not the same point.
In other DJ programs like serato and traktor, if you go back further than what is contained in the file, it somehow just "adds space" and lets you go back as far as you want.
I hope this makes sense, because this is really the only fallback of scratching on these things. Everything else is right on point. If doesn't make sense let me know and I'll make a video or something of what I'm describing.
