HID advanced and standard modes, problems linking properly with traktor on ONE CDJ2000, always, the other works perfectly.

i have a mac book, use traktor 2.6.1, have a CDJ2000 and a DJM2000, i am having problems linking BOTH the Cdj's.

what happens is, when i load up traktor and turn ONE CDJ2000 ON and use the USB cable to pluged into my laptop, it links to my traktor in the Advanced and Standard Modes, no problem. Both the usb slots working fine

but when i connect the SECOND CDJ2000 ON, connected to laptop via USB, it just says PC and nothing happens. even when i change is to standard HID mode

its not a problem with the CDJ's as both of them links perfectly in advance and standard mode, but only when i connect ONE CDJ, and im unable to use both CDJ's together as one player always never connects. just says PC and it doesnt link to traktor.

latest firmware, latest trakor 2.6, usb slots working, cables working, iv tried everything. looked at a couple of youtube videos and in this video, what happens to the guy in the video is exactly whats happens to me, one cdj works in advanced mode perfectly, but the other CDJ displays PC and doesnt connect in the advanced mode. but whats different from my case is, he changes it to standard mode and t works, while that doesnt happen with me. it just says PC and stays like it.. here is the video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0TB5owa6JY

cud it be a problem of the USB slots on a 2008 aluminium MAC BOOK (now discontinued), when both cables are connected to the 2 USB slots on the laptop? :S dont think so as they work perfectly even when i connect two hard disks or what ever..

i am attaching a picture of the screen im left with on one of the CDJ's, both in standard and advanced mode, the second CDJ works perfectly in advanced mode..

please help!

I would double check your settings, mohamedsimon, because I did check for another thread and advanced HID mode worked perfectly on my test with version 2.5.1 so I dont see why not working on a newer that you have.

I agree some things are not as tight as they should. On my tests the adjustments for start / stop speed are gone, so does the reverse button. In my tests the response from the jogwheel and stop and play buttons were  also not perfect BUT I know theres a lot to play with the latency settings to find a match between your laptop performance and the cdjs. I guess it could get better on that matter but having some dead functions is really not a good idea (the video you mentioned shows that).

So try to doublecheck your settings because maybe there is something wrong since it worked here :)

Hey mohamed, I was looking for your thread to post a feedback again. A friend just had the same problem but he uses a windows laptop. He gave me a call and we fried our brains through several hours untill finally we found a solution. We uninstalled latest ASIO driver and installed version 1.102. Problem solved!!!!

Maybe you should try a later version of ASIO driver. I guess it will do for you too!

Cheers!

I used to run one of the old 17" Macbook Pro's and I sometimes had problems with (I think) USB devices drawing too much power from the USB supplies. It would usually happen when I had an external hard drive connected and both the CDJs. As soon as I'd connect the third device the connections would drop out. From what I have read in this thread you only have the two CDJ's hooked up to the USB ports but I'm not sure if the Mac Books are different to the Mac Book Pro's as far as USB ports are concerned. Have you tried using a powered USB hub? That would be my next port of call, so to speak. Good luck!
