Folgen[SOLVED] CDJ Auto Beat Loop Double/Divide Error
For some reason I was only notified when this topic was closed.....
This error is not solved, the BPM IS displayed and IS correct (via rekordbox analyze).
This error exists on every single track, it is not specific to a few tracks.
BPMs are 100% correct, analyzed via rekordbox software, double checked by hand and then exported to USB thumbdrive via rekordbox.
the following is my initial post:
I have two CDJ350s with a Ecler mixer.
Everything has been working smoothly with Rekordbox and correct BPM readings, but the looping function has not been used at all.
Today, I finally started messing with the Auto Loop function and discovered a serious issue.
I can hit either Auto Loop button, and get a perfect 4 bar loop.. however, when I press either button ( + / - ) the loop does not double or divide.
I simply get an off beat skip and the 4 beat loop continues at the same length.
Holding each button ( + / - ) produces even worse results with a stutter step effect, the beats get jumbled and sounds horrible.
I have watched multiple demos explaing how to properly use this function and my CDJs do not function as advertised.
I thought possibly my CDJ firmware was out of date, so I updated it.. the problem remains.
This is serious issue and I will returning these if I cannot get this resolved.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

If you read the manual of CDJ-350, it does not say when pressing the [+] button, it can double the loop length.
"The length of loop playback is divided in half each time [–] is pressed.
When [+] is pressed, the loop playback length returns to the original length."An engineer who designed Loop Divide added the following comments.
- Loop Divide works only when the Loop length is shorter than 15sec.
(Manual Loop also works when meeting the above requirement.)
- When you fail playing a Loop, press the button to set a 4-beat loop using the current BPM.
(When BPM is not detected, the default of 130 BPM is used.)
- Divide can be developed up to 6 levels. (1/64 at minimum length)
(However, the loop length can be divided into 1frame at minimum. Smaller than 1-frame loop is not available.)This Loop Divide feature has been used in CDJ-400 and CDJ-350.
Some users may be mixed up with Loop Double/Half feature in other CDJ devices.

Ok, I was unaware that the loop could not be doubled to an 8-bar loop and beyond. However, the issue still remains that the loop does not divide. I can get a stutter step off beat effect but the loop remains the same length regardless of how many times I press the loop divide.
@BK CDJ > This is correct, as the looping function spec performs differently.
