[SOLVED] Am I The Only Person Not Having Problems

There are several issues or bugs in the firmware that have been reported and a few acknowledged.  The only way I feel secure using my CDJs so far has been using CDs only.  I am not saying they don't work with a HDD or with RB but I have had them freeze, lockup, etc.

I am happy that you have not experienced issues but the easiest way to tell you of the different issues is for you to read everyone's complaints.  Some guys have also posted videos as well.

What it comes down to (IMO) is that I did not pay over $4000.00 for two CDJs that were advertised to do so much more and then to be afraid to use their features.  It's like saying you buy a super car but being afraid to go fast in it cuz the engine might blow; and to add insult to injury, the company that manufactured this wont do anything about this.

Yeah, I'm somewhat disappointed. At first I thought it was just me getting use to the 'CDJ' world. I saved for 1 year to buy these 'super toys' and my expectation were so high following the 'hype' of the new 2000 Nexus. I have yet to use mine in a live setting with RB. I have only used them in HID with Traktor. I've had a list of issues since, mainly due to the connection with RB and CDJ Nexus. Some of the updates on both Nexus 2000, and RB have been resolved. But it seems the still don't work like $2000 hardware should. That's to me, the biggest issue. My lastest issue, when I have to loaded tracks, one on CDJ A and the other B, if I hit the cue button, the CDJ jumps back to the previous track I played. I have to go back into track listing and reload the same track to rid the issue. If my plan is to use the cue of the loaded track to do something tricky, I can't because the CDJ takes me back to the prior track. It's annoying that this keeps happening. If I'm doing something wrong, I surely can't tell. I don't know, it seems its one thing after another. I'm truly thinking about selling.

This is normal CDJ behavior and I think you may just need more practice with the CDJ cue system. If you came from Denon's like I did it takes a while to master as the Denon style was second nature for me so it was hard to UNlearn.

@Deejay Dave, Turn on "Auto Cue". The reason it jumps back is because there is no cue set yet for the new loaded track because it did not auto cue and/or you did not set one manually so when you hit cue it goes back to the last cue set which was your previous track, just turn auto cue on on the 2000 and you will not have this issue

as far as the initial post, every system will have it's issues somewhere, you may be working fine but others will have problems somewhere along the line being there is so so much these decks do. Serato, traktor, denon gear, pioneer gear, they all will have some issue somewhere. My decks worked fault free for a long time and then last night it was a complete shit show with a deck slowing down to a point where i could not scroll, had to reboot the whole system, then one deck went into an emergency loop for no reason at all, it was a mess, only thing I can say is ALWAYS HAVE A BACKUP READY with any system you play with. Fortunately I always do and not one person knew i was having all these problems but me

I'm loving my DJM-900 and CDJ-2000 Nexus setup! Works like a charm, never had any issues :)

yesterday, AGAIN, slow load time. Loaded a track that auto loaded hot cue A and B and it just flashed for 20 seconds not allowing me to do anything and then finally loaded. Getting annoyed pretty quick, this issue has existed from day 1 and still is not resolved

DJM-900SRT & 2 CDJ-2000 Nexus's running kike a charm!! Truly love it!! The DJM-900Nexus became obsolete being I can run Traktor & Rekordbox just like the Nexus with the SRT so I traded it for a Urei1620......... lovin that mixer too!!

I am glad to see more people saying they are having no issues. I have to admit after reading all the horror stories, I did start keeping my laptop handy with tractor running set up on channels 1 & 4 on the djm900. I only have used that when I have a song on my macbook pro, that is not on my sd card. 

I have done many jobs, all lasting 5 - 6 hours and knock on wood, has been perfect. 

But again, I only use rekordbox to set up my cue points and playlist, I do not use it during the actual wedding reception. My entire idea of going to CDJ's was to eliminate the need for a computer.
