its pretty easy, just put in the blank DVD and open it in "FINDER", drag mp3's onto the dvd and click burn. You do not need 3rd party software

Folgen[SOLVED] CDJ2000 Nexus Burning DVD to play?
Ok so I know I'm using CDJ2000 Nexus this weekend for a long set, I've always played CDR and burnt in Mac/Toast as Audio.
As I have such a vast selection of tracks for this particular gig (dont want to jump in with USB just yet so close to the gig) could I burn 2 x DVD's?
If so and I know they would be read, do i burn in TOAST as "Audio DVD" or "data DVD / Mac and PC / or DVD-ROM?
I want to make sure its compatible the second I insert the disc!!!

I don't use MP3 so would this work the same way with WAV and AIFF? and they play fine on the CDJ burnt this way?
I can test tomorrow if you can hold out that long, not sure when you need this done by. I am assuming WAV and AIFF would be the same concept
I am really sorry, I respect you wishes but honestly, there is no difference between a CD, DVD, Blu-Ray etc. VS. a USB drive. They are all storage devices. I don't see why you would hesitate to use a USB stick. Your advantage with a USB drive would be that you could use the LINK feature (1 drive plays music in both decks).
Best of luck.
I would use this, but these 9 times out of 10 not set up properly for the link feature, (just audio outs to a desk) and secondly they vary decks
Last week I played on 1 x CDJ1000mk3 and the older CDJ1000mk2
This is the only reason I stick with audio CD (as old as it is) as I encounter so many set ups and mixtures of set-ups, that standard CD is easiest, even if it is a pain! This coming week i know its CDJ2000nexus (probably not linked) but at least they would read DVD
If you read the manual http://www.pioneer.eu/uk/support/manuals/CDJ-2000NXS/page.html in the first pages you'll see the list of supported media. There's no mention of DVD audio, but only DVD, so I'd burn as normal data DVD, not audio DVD.
I've seen many DJs using CDs, it still makes a lot of sense given the amount of different CDJs and configurations that one can find in a club, in the end normal audio CD is the only medium that's always working :)
If you know already that you are going to have 2000nexus and you are unsure whether the link works or not you could just bring two usb sticks with the same music mirrored on both, that's the way I do it usually.
By the way, just seen now, on the page with the supported discs...there's also a list of NOT supported discs and audio DVD is explicitly mentioned as unsupported, so you'd better burn as normal data DVD or use USB sticks.
Or bring a lan cable ... :)
@Mike > If you always play with CDs then I would bring those CDs to the gig and don't bother burning DVDs.
DVDs, I've usually found, can be problematic. Moreover, if you are familiar with your CDs you are more likely to sort through your music etc easier.
If you really don't want to use CDs then I'd go with USBs. Bit of a jump perhaps, but you'll be glad you did.
