I am having the browsing bug after just 2 or 3 track changes. Both my CDJ-850's seize up and the browsing becomes unresponsive and scrolling becomes random. I have updated the firmware to 1.12, completely reinstalled Rekordbox, formatted my sticks twice and used FAT instead of HFS. None of this has done any good as the problem is still happening. The only thing that has worked so far is to import a playlist as M3U and add it to the USB sticks via Rekordbox. This is not desirable because it doesn't use the names in the tags, it uses the actual file names which don't always make sense. Also, I lose all my carefully stored cue points. I export playlists from Traktor and have also used the Mixvibes sync to get my playlists into Rekordbox with all their cue points intact. This doesn't seem to work with the CDJ-850, the browsing quickly becomes unresponsive and an hourglass appears on screen, it then takes a reboot or ejecting the USB to fix it, but it quickly happens again. There seems to be some major issues with Rekordbox and the CDJ-850, I am seriously disappointed, I've only had my decks for 7 months and now they don't even function properly. It has taken 7 months to realise because I have been using my decks with Traktor timecode.

I have now spent 2 whole days trying to figure this problem out. What I have found is that if the bridge is used in Rekordbox to import collection or playlists (both itunes bridge and Mixvibes Cross bridge), the issue will occur on the CDJ-850 where an hourglass appears on screen and the browser becomes unresponsive. It seems to be connected with the fact that the file names of the tracks change to what is in the tags when using itunes, Cross, or Traktor. The only fix I have found is to not use the bridge at all, and only import playlists as M3U files. This keeps the original file names intact and does not cause any issues, BUT it means losing all your beat grids and cue points from Mixvibes or Traktor. I would like to know if this is just on the CDJ-850, if so we need a firmware update to fix this, it's really not good enough that all these new features are constantly added, when some of the most basic functionality doesn't work properly.

The latest version of Rekordbox (2.2.3) contains a fix for using rekordbox .xml collections. This is the exact same format that Mixvibes Cross uses so i figure this is what my problem has been. Unfortunately, while the USB mode is definitely more stable (takes longer for the freeze to occur), it still freezes and navigating causes the display to show 'Please wait' with a spinning hourglass. The only thing i can figure from this is that the CDJ-850 is not fully compatible with Rekordbox.
