[OPEN] Pro-Link DJ errors

DJM 2000 Nexus,

2 CDJ 2000 Nexus connected via digital out and lan cables to the mixer.

Mac Book Pro connected via lan to mixer through computer 1.

Error occurs when with Pro DJ Link active on a macbook pro '15 inch late 2011, serious lag will occur with a cdj 2000 nexus, enough to put it into emergency loop. The player will "stay' connected to Pro DJ Link, but any attempt to access any files/menus/playlists/folders via the cdj menu will result in a waiting display. Powering down the unit and powering it back up will resolve the issue. This seems random, after a few songs, an hour, 10 mins, or back to back songs.

This also occurs with proDJ Link on a late 2013 27' imac.

Does anyone know why this occurs?

I'm currently using 2 black Cat7 cables provided by pioneer, and 1 cat7 Rosewill cable. I know there is a negligible benefit of having a shielded cable, and the transfer speeds of cat7 won't be fully utilized because of the speed of the ports, but could cat7 cables really be causing the issue? And if so, why?

Cat7 cables? Really? Considering those are used for 10Gb ethernet, it's a bit of a surprise as the players operate on a 10/100Mb ethernet connection... can't understand why they'd go to the extra cost... but oh well.

Is it possible you have your firewall enabled?

What is the firmware version you're running on the mixer and players and which version of rekordbox?

CDJ firmware 1.21

DJM Firmware 3.20

it is possible that i have firewall enabled. but would that cause an issue after rekordbox links? or would that only prevent links from happening? Rekord box version 2.2.3
