Hey everyone,
Need some help here, i just bought a pair of CDJ-850 and witht that Rane SL2. I tried connection everything in HID mode with Serato scratch live, cdj's are connecter and control my software...but no sound? Did i do something wront in the connection's?
USB to CDJ-1
USB to CDJ-2
Rane to PC
RCA Cables from cdj to Mixer
Mixer to speakers.

I think you need to connect the outputs of your SL2 box to the mixer. I use Traktor myself so my advice may be wrong, but i believe that Serato requires a connected interface to run (i.e.. your SL2). In this case, you will need to use the CDJs in HID mode but use the SL2 as the soundcard within the Serato software.

connect the sl box's output to your mixer. when you launch scratchlive 2.5 put both players in internal mode. go to setup in the main gui and then click the midi tab make sure you see 2 cdj 850's.
Also put your 850's in midi ch 5 for left deck and midi ch 6 for right deck
