CDJ900nexus Display Freeze

Hi guys,

I bought the CDJ 900nexus earlier this year (and ditched my two 850s) and LOVED how much easier and better the handling was. Yet, once I am 3hours+ into a set all of a sudden the display of one or in worst case both players "freezes" and does not show any wave-information at all. Heres some details:

  • at first the upper wave display disappears, then the bottom one disappears as well

  • this happens to songs at total random, I have checked whether its a particular song or format, I could never reproduce the problem. It just happens "sometime"

  • I use a 64GB SanDisk USB Drive which I have been using successfully for the past three years now, so I would rule out the possibility that this where the error emits from

  • both players are connected via the RJ45 cable that came with the players. As the connection itself never fails I assume the cable is also not the reason why this happens.

  • I continue to use the players without resetting them as luckily the browsing function is unharmed by this error (although it can happen that while browsing the selected/highlighted entry shows a scrambled image of a wave form instead of the name/title of the track. if I browse "away" the entry is readable as usual) for up to 10h. So it seems it doesn't get "worse than that"

  • my library consists of about 4.800 songs which are sorted in 100+ playlists, I transfer them via the iTunes Bridge successfully into Rekordbox and never had any complaints here

What I have done so far is format the USB Drive and re-load all tracks. Sometimes this works for a while (=2-4 Gigs) but eventually this freeze happens again.

What can be done / do you need from me in order to get this issue fixed? Thanks in advance!!!

Hello? I am shocked that nobody has replied to this topic. Does anybody have any idea how this problem can be solved?

In the meantime: Both players have been off to the pioneer repair team (players bought in Germany at Session Music in Frankfurt, they forwarded the players to Pioneer-repair team) yet the problem STILL PERSISTS!

Need help please!
