Hot Cue Question

Hello!

I have just received my first pair of CDJ2000NXS ever and I have a question about hot cueing! I am running rekordbox on the players. My confusion is that when using the ABC hot cues when the track is PAUSED, when pressing the hot cues is causes the track to begin playing. I want to be able to jump to my hot cue while the deck is not playing, set my loop, and then begin cueing up the tune/beatmatching. I am having trouble with this process because whenever I hit an ABC hot cue the track begins playing. Why can't I hot cue when the player is paused?

Welcome! The hot cues are used to jump around the track whilst its playing. To get it to do what you want, you need to use standerd cue points, this is found on the top right hand side under the screen.

Select the beat you wish the CUE point to jump to. Press CUE when the beat marker is at the point you selected. Then press MEMORY. That saves the CUE point. You can now use the CALL arrows to jump to a paused CUE point.

There are tutorials on this on you tube and pioneer dj web site if you have trouble with my directions.
