CDJ-2000 Nexus manufacturing delay?

Hello,

I have a CDJ-2000 Nexus on order through a music retailer for the past two weeks. I've contacted the retailer and they first said Pioneer hadn't contacted them about the order, now after contacting them again, they said that Pioneer was coming to their store for a demo today, and when they asked about the CDJ-2000 Nexus they were told there's a problem in manufacturing and Pioneer can't ship them out, and they were given no lead time as to when they might be available again.

I just want to confirm or deny this from Pioneers side, is there a holdup in the manufacture of CDJ-2000 Nexus, or am I being given the runaround by this retailer? It's been 2 weeks and I am in danger of losing money from my small business over this, I need to know if I should go with another retailer or will I have this same problem?

Supply and demand, my friend! The engineers have informed me that there is no manufacturing delay, just a matter of them selling faster than they can be produced.

If you're in a pinch, try contacting another retailer.

Thanks for the reply. I ended up going with another retailer.

I was just seeking that info because I thought they were giving me the runaround, which it turns out they were. I also noticed that items on their website state in stock until you add them to your cart and clock checkout then they immediately get marked as out of stock on the website. Unfortunately I've noticed a lot of online retailers seem to use this method to get people to place orders.
