Linking one CDJ 2000nxs to one CDJ 2000

(1) CDJ 2000 nexus, firmware 1.2.3

(1) CDJ 2000, firmware 4.3.3

Basic LAN cable that came with the 2000 nexus.

Trying to connect via LAN cable to access single USB without success.

Questions:

  • Is a link between a 2000 and a 2000nxs even possible?

  • If so, does it matter which CDJ is "player 1" / does it matter which player the USB is actually plugged into? (I've tried every combo, but still curious)

**Note: Both CDJ's individually recognize the USB stick when plugged straight in. Both CDJ's work fine with Serato setup. It is strictly the LINK feature that is problematic.

So long as the players are numbered differently, or the setting is "AUTO," the players should link and talk to each-other without issue. The only time it really matters is when using the on-air feature of a DJM where you want to have the player number the same as the audio channel to which it's connected.

It doesn't matter which deck the USB is in, the other deck will use LINK, not the USB button to connect and read the device.

I would check the pins on the connectors and try a different ethernet cable.
