You import the music from wherever it lives to rekordbox, allow it to be analysed, create playlists, hot cues, memory points, etc... then export the tracks you want to a USB device. Those tracks are then available for you when you connect to the CDJ.
Pro-tip: with your USB device conected, in rekordbox, click on the device from the left side, then activate the preferred category and sort fields to the device.
