[SOLVED] Is the XDJ-R1 ripe for the picking?

Hey guys Ive been watching these forums with interest since the XDJR1 was released, early on there were lots of complaints about numerous issues. However, since there have been a few firmware releases now the chatter has died down. I would like to know your thoughts on this product, is it now reliable? I'm a retired DJ, all im looking for is something to continue my passion on at home, no clubs or parties anymore, but i do want it to be reliable, has the XDJR1 matured to this point? Thanks for you feedback.

@Jaz > Obviously, you would say I might be biased however I've tested this unit both at home and in a live environment and I have yet to encounter any issues since the recent updates. I think it might be best if I leave other users to provide the most recent feedback but, judging from the comments I received at a recent tradeshow in the UK, the unit has been very well received by home and mobile DJs.

If you've any more specific questions in relation to functionality, please don't be afraid to ask.

@lennonpearson > Doubtful that will happen although rekordbox is available on android so if pioneer wants to make it available it is possible the question is will they?

Hmm. Well can I connect it directly to rekordbox on my computer and access all my music that way? If so, I can do without a tablet and I would still buy it!

@lennonpearson > No announcements have been made in relation to Android so I would say don't put all your eggs in that basket. In terms of connecting the R1 to your computer... yes, you can when using a DVS such as Virtual DJ. You cannot connect to rekordbox for desktop through the R1. For that you would need the Aero.
