[OPEN] XDJ-Aero problems connection windows 8 64 bit

I've posted it before but never got any reaction, so here's a second one.

Still having problems with connection on new laptop with win8 64 bit and xdj-aero.

Would like to get it working normally.

I can connect but after playing a couple of tracks, connection does not work again. To get it working again, i need to restart rekordbox and the wireless connection. This is really frustrating. Sometimes this isn't even enough so only a reboot works.

On my old laptop and pc , I've never had this issue (win vista and pc with win7)

I've got the newest drivers and firmware running. Windows firewall is set off. Also virussoftware is down.

Need help with it.

Thx,, Mark

I had the same problem with my windows 8, after playing a couple of tracks, connection would drop out,  I have left the Firewall on and also my Norton Security, but have changed these settings - go to, Control Panel - System and security - Windows Firewall - Allowed Applications, scroll down and highlight the Rekordbox Program file box,  tick  "Public and Private" now do the same right at the bottom where it says "Wireless Portable Devices" Save changes and close, This has worked for me, give it a try - Adrian.

I was going to say that it's likely a firewall issue; if you disable it completely you should have no problems -- or try what Adrian has indicated by allowing the application to connect through... but if you already have it disabled, that's obviously not the problem.

Do you still have the old laptop to test a simultaneous connection to the AERO to see if it's the AERO dropping the connection or the laptop?

Another thing it could be is that your Antivirus is set to scan your Rekordbox files as soon as you start the program, causing it to crash, if you are running Norton Internet Security (or similar), perhaps you should try this :-

Go to Antivirus settings - Items to Exclude from scans - Configure - Add, then highlight the Rekordbox program file, click apply and close,

this should stop your Antivirus from scanning these files, you could also take it one step further and exclude the Auto Protect and Sonar protection as well, this should free up a lot more RAM on your laptop, especially if you have a lot of files in your Rekordbox program.
