XDJ-R1 Categories

There isn't much information regarding the problem with the XDJ-R1 category issue. Either in Remotebox or the XDJ-R1 itself, you cannot arrange by the categories 'Comments' and ''Key'. Given that I personally use comments to display the key of the track (10A, 11B etc.) this is a real nuisance as planning a set based a little around the keys of a track are a major importance in controlling energy levels when DJing.

I simply refuse to believe that there is no possible way to implement this into the remotebox software (I accept that it may not be possible for the XDJ-R1 itsself however). In remotebox under 'info' of a track it displays both the key of a track and the comments for that track, I can't see it being very hard to be able to sort by either of these as they are obviously already being read.

I am severely let down by this feature on the XDJ-R1, this is my first pioneer product too. All has been okay until now with only a few minor nags. I really hope to hear soon that there will be a fix for this as it is a monumental letdown for such a great all in one system.

You have to use Rekordbox to organize your music, once your tracks are analyzed you can sort by any category supported by the R1 or Remotebox(which is a little limited compared to other higher end Pioneer products that use Rekordbox). The easiest way to arrange your music by key or bpm is to use playlists in Rekordbox, then right click on the column header you wish to arrange (key or bpm) then click rearrange/reorder track number, if you don't use Rekordbox your R1 is pretty crippled when it comes to browsing and arranging tracks.
