[SOLVED] XDJ-RX Jog Mode button doesn't work

I have the XDJ-RX on firmware 1.5 and I can't seem to activate scratch mode - whether the jog mode button is on vinyl or off the jog wheel does the same thing when I press the top of the wheel or the side. Is there a setting I'm missing - can't work it out!

edit: I've just noticed I don't have the blue ring in the middle of the jog wheels when vinyl mode is on. Does this mean my unit is faulty?

Could you please shoot a video? Does it doe the same thing on both decks?

yes it does the same thing on both. The blue circular light does come on inside the jog wheel when the decks initialise but then it turns off and as you can see in the video the jog mode button doesn't seem to do anything.

Yeah, that's odd - I'll see what the engineers say.

FYI, my time mode button was 'sticky', needing a little extra oomph to register the first click.  A few others seemed to require a little extra pressure first press but did not have an issue registering a press like the time mode button did.  Most of these buttons use the same switch under the fancy thing we press, for what it's worth.

That doesn't seem to be the case here - you can see the button LED change colours, indicating a press was registered, but the jog illumination and the mode itself don't ever switch.

But thanks for throwing in the comment @pope!

PS: We don't need to hear about your first time being sticky. ;)

You're correct...the light reflects the state in the RX firmware, which means the unit did register the press, but didn't functionally act on it.  Never mind...

I'm LMAO right now, thinking of the "sound of scooping Mac-n-Cheese" joke...good lord that escalated quickly
