Usbs work fine and no need for time control. You do have to set the CDs to act as audio interface in the settings.

FolgenTraktor + DJM 900 + CDJ 900s on Mac
Hey guys I'd just like to ask something about this setup. With the Advanced HID on Traktor 2.5 and HID-capabilities of the DJM 900/CDJ 900, all I need to do is connect the USB from the mixer and CDJs to the laptop and everything should run smoothly right?
- Is there a need for the timecode CD if i'm not intending to scratch with the CDJs? Tried this setup yesterday without a timecode CD on a windows laptop and couldn't get it to work, even after installing all the latest drivers for the DJM900. Got a new Mac coming in tomorrow, so I'd just like to know if I'm going about this correctly.
- Do I need to use an ethernet cable to connect both CDJs to the DJM or would connecting the USBs directly to the computer make this unnecessary?

Thanks bro, got it to work. Just tried it with my new Mac, everything was plug and play. Just had to download he CDJ Aggregator. A new problem happened though, there seems to be a slight distortion in the club's speakers when playing through my laptop, switching it to play from CDs seems to be distortion-free. Will report back if I manage to find out the solution to this.
Guys I'm having a big issue with this and I'd really appreciate some help!
