XDJ-RX

I have a Toshiba satelite C660 intel core i5 2.30GHz 3GB Ram windows 7 and want to know if it will work perfectly well with an XDJ-RX using DJ Softwares????
What DJ software will i use an XDJ-RX with? Serato or virtual DJ or which is the best option to becoming a pro.
lastly, If the Toshiba is not good enough do you advice i buy a Macbook Pro 15" with a retina display i7?

The XDJ-RX is not really designed to work with DJ software (Serato, VirtualDJ or Traktor). You use your PC with Rekordbox to prepare your tracks and playlists.

IMHO, if you really want to use a DJ software, you should go with a controller that is designed for that (DDJ SX2 or SZ or whatever).

Concur, and would add: when in MIDI mode it is not an HID controller, this means responsiveness will be lacking. RX is really intended to be a stand-alone solution, playing off of media loaded to USB memory as prepared by Rekordbox, free of a laptop (and the performance/reliability issues that often plague such arrangements).

RX does support a live connection to Rekordbox over an Ethernet cable, but I only use thumb drives and have not used that feature... assume it would work just fine, but I'm really trying to avoid the complications of something that looks like the whole laptop/controller scenario. So far, the RX is great for those gigs lacking a good set of venue-supplied gear (meaning at least a pair of 2000's and a quality mixer).
