differences between ddj sx and ddj rx

i am for buying one of these in the next few weeks and im trying to decide which i should buy but i cant really find a lot of info that answers the questions i have mainly about the ddj rz.
obviously i want to be able to use it with rekordbox so its easier to go from home to the club with my stuff.
my main desire however on top of this i want to use it for dvs in the house so i can plug my turntables into it.
do they both come dvs ready or do i need an expansion pack with either/both?
thanks in advance

The DDJ-S* units are designed for use with Serato, and have now been supported under rekordbox DJ as well. The DDJ-R* units are intended as rekordbox-only controllers, but have seen updates to take advantage of different features in the rekordbox program, as well as improvements to the internals.

The *Z and *X units are different in their size and ability, so it's hard to compare them to each-other. You'd be better off comparing similar units, but again, the primary difference is Serato compatibility.

Really Pioneer, no answer? I guess they want you to struggle with your decision process.

I could be wrong, but I think Pioneer wants top rule the DJ world. They are not content with providing just the hardware, they also want to dominate the software field as well. I think SZ is designed to work smoothly with Serato and RZ is designed to work with Pioneers software.

hi pulse thank for your response, however as my second post said i got the title wrong and it was the ddj sz and ddj rz i was looking to compare only. i already understand that the s is serato and r is rekordbox my question was more surrounding the dvs functionality of both.
as far as im aware the ddj sz is dvs ready straight from the box with serato dj, im wondering is the ddj rz the same or will i have to buy a dvs expansion pack for it for rekordbox

As far as I know, you would have to purchase the DVS plugin for rekordbox, but I may be wrong with that. I'll try and find out for you.

@david > As the DVS pack is not yet available, I haven't got any information available at this point. You'll have to check back later, sorry!
