Mine is chipping on the crossfader and on the front edge. I called Pioneer and was told I need to send the mixer in and they will evaluate it. Not the answer I wanted to hear. Looks like I'll have to return it to Musicians Friend as they have a 45 return policy.

Ha, The clown has spoken. I wouldn't trust that guy. Take it back, and pickup another one once they get their act together. Don't let them string you along pass your return window.
When is soon? My second unit is doing the same thing.
