Sort by 'my tag'

Hi there!

I am new to this forum, but have been using Rekordbox for the last couple of months since I got an XDJ-RX. I have been importing my collection, and trying to use the tagging feature as much as possible, but one thing that I can't seem to do is sort by 'my tag'.

For example, I mix trance, so have sub-genres such as 'Pure trance', 'Trance 2.0', 'Tech Trance' etc. Is there any way to sort my library/ playlist so it shows all tracks tagged with 'pure trance' followed by all tagged with 'tech trance' etc?

Hey Chris,

welcome to the world of Pioneer ;) Well I think this categories are already included in the new Rekordbox DJ Software (aka Performance Mode) but are not working probably yet.

I think you would like to add your own tag to the track so that you can sort the tracks by "my tag", I just tried to do this with the "Color Tag", because I like the tracks sorted by color. Unfortunately, that is not possible at that point of time, think the engis are still working on that one as well as they are working on your request, I guess ;)

OLAH Chris. In rekordbox 4.0.x you can add or delete differents "Tags" at your "My Tag" option. This offer to you the possibility to add differents option tag to one track to list by. In my case I add to tag "Techno", "Instrumenal" or "Dub" and "Main Floor" tags to Mark Broom song Broken Times to make differences between style inside the same genre.
